Dhroong Village, Da Nang

Located about 80 km from Da Nang and 90 km from Hoi An, Dhroong is a traditional Co Tu village nestled in the lush mountains of the former Quang Nam Province, now part of Da Nang City. The village is known for its living textile traditions, including threads and bead weaving, with patterns inspired by nature, spiritual beliefs and everyday life.

Visitors can meet local Co Tu artisans, discover traditional textiles and patterns, and learn about bead weaving on traditional backstrap looms. Although natural dyeing and ikat weaving have declined over the years, elders in Dhroong still remember the use of local dye plants, especially indigo leaves and yam root, as well as traditional patterns passed down through generations. Visitors can learn about these textile traditions, experience local food, and discover the peaceful village landscape and everyday cultural life of the Co Tu community.
