Lác – Nà Phòn Village, Hoa Binh
Located about 140 km from Hanoi, Lác and Nà Phòn are two traditional Thai communities in Mai Châu, in the former Hoa Binh Province, now part of Phu Tho Province. Nestled in a peaceful valley surrounded by mountains and rice fields, the two villages are known for their traditional stilt houses, rich cultural life and long-standing textile traditions.
Visitors can meet local Thai artisans, discover traditional weaving and natural dyeing techniques, and learn about the making of Thai textiles, including the cultivation of mulberry, silkworm raising, silk spinning and weaving.
